About this piece

Sculptural Wooden Archway, Freestanding Solid Wood Room Divider with Thick Curved Band and Flared Base, 78 to 86 Inch

Where an arch earns its place

Kitchen entry

Chunky posts and a beam header turn a plain opening into a timber-framed doorway.

Open-plan zone

A freestanding arch marks where the living room ends and dining begins, without a wall.

Entry accent

A sculptural arch by the door gives guests something to walk through on the way in.

Beam, braced, banded and carved

Close-up of the curved band and wood grain of a wooden arch

Thick timber, worked by hand

Posts, headers and curved bands are shaped from solid wood and sanded by hand, so the edges you brush past are smooth and the grain runs the full length of each piece.

Every arch is one of one — grain, knots and saw marks vary.

Fitting questions

How is a doorway frame fitted?
It fixes over or inside an existing opening into studs or anchors with the fixings supplied; measure your opening width and height before choosing a size.
Will a freestanding arch stay upright?
The freestanding arches stand on their own base. In a busy hallway we recommend also fixing the top or sides to the wall or floor with the hardware included.
Does it arrive in one piece?
Larger arches ship in sections — posts and header or band halves — and bolt together on site.
How do I care for it?
Dust with a dry cloth; re-oil now and then to keep the finish even.
Do the four tones cost the same?
Yes — Black, Brown, Walnut and Oak are one price; only the size changes it.
