A room divider bookcase with softly rounded outer corners and an irregular grid of open cubbies in different widths and heights. With no back panel it can stand between a living and dining area and show books and decor from both sides. Built from solid wood and finished by hand to order.

Four ways to draw the line

Carved through, not printed on

The cutouts in our openwork screens are shaped right through the solid board by hand, so the pattern reads the same from either side of the room.

Grain and knots vary piece to piece — the character of real wood.

Before it goes up

Will a tall divider stand on its own?
The bookcases and plinth-based panels are freestanding. For tall pieces in busy homes, or with children and pets, we recommend securing the top to a wall or ceiling with the anti-tip fixings supplied.
Does it arrive assembled?
Smaller panels ship ready to stand; larger bookcases may come in sections that bolt together with the hardware included.
How do I care for it?
Dust the openings with a soft brush or dry cloth; an occasional coat of furniture oil keeps the finish rich.
Which size do I need?
Measure the gap you want to divide and the ceiling height; each listing gives width, depth and height, and the size changes the price.
Do the four tones cost the same?
Yes — Black, Brown, Walnut and Oak are one price; only the size changes it.
