Heavy and plain on purpose

Thick slab on two square block legs

A deep live-edge slab sits on two chunky square legs set in from each end. Saw marks, cracks and knots are left on the surface, so the table looks rough-hewn and solid from across the room.

Saw texture and cracks in the slab

The front edge rolls with the natural outline of the log, and the legs carry their own splits and grain.

Set-in legs, clean overhang

Because the legs sit a little in from the ends, the slab overhangs on both sides and the table reads as a simple bench-like form. It suits farmhouse, wabi-sabi and pared-back rustic rooms alike.
