A broad slab platform with live edges, carried on a hidden base so it floats above the floor. Behind it, a wide live edge headboard runs past the mattress with a rolling top line and natural knots. Calm and low, it suits a bright, simple bedroom. Cut and finished by hand to order.
Hidden base, live edges
The broad platform sits on a base set well back from the edges, so from standing height the bed looks lifted off the floor. Its live edges stay visible all the way around.
Behind it, a wide headboard with a gently rolling top and natural knots spans the full width.
Both frames are 92" long and 44" high at the headboard.

The headboard top rises and dips along its length instead of running straight, and the knots stay where the tree grew them. At 44 inches it sits low enough to hang art above.
