About this piece

Stacked Drum Pedestal Round Foyer Table, Solid Wood Entry Table with Alternating Wide and Narrow Bands

A round foyer table on a pedestal of thick stacked drums. They alternate wide and narrow from the broad base up to the top, so the column steps in and out in clean bands of grain. It suits a hall, a lobby or the space beside a stair. Finished by hand to order.

A closer look

Close-up of a carved solid wood pedestal base on a round foyer table

Everything rests on the pedestal

Spiral twists, carved rings, stacked discs, fluted cones — the base of each foyer table is turned or carved from solid wood by hand, and it is what people walk around and notice.

Grain and knots vary piece to piece — the character of real wood.

The first thing in the hall

A centre table for an entryway, lobby or stair hall — top and pedestal cut from solid natural wood and hand-finished to order, round so traffic flows past it from every side.

  • Solid natural wood
  • Round top, single pedestal
  • Four tones · one price

Pick the base that suits your hall

Sizing a foyer table

  1. 01

    Leave a walkway

Allow about 3 ft of clear floor all round so people can pass on both sides.
  2. 02

    Match the room

A larger round top suits a double-height hall; a smaller one fits a narrow entry or landing.
  3. 03

    Check the height

Standard entry tables sit around 30" high, at a comfortable height for keys, a bowl or flowers.

Questions at the door

Does it need assembly?
Usually only fixing the top to the pedestal with the hardware supplied; larger tables ship with the top and base packed separately.
Is it stable with a heavy vase?
Yes — the solid pedestal and wide base keep the centre of gravity low. Keep heavy pieces near the middle of the top.
How do I care for it?
Use a mat under vases and plants, wipe spills promptly and dust with a dry cloth; re-oil occasionally.
Do the four tones cost the same?
Yes — Black, Brown, Walnut and Oak are one price; only the size changes it.

Welcome guests with real wood
